I absolutely love this lip balm, because it is so much more than just a lip balm! In the past I have spent between £30 to under a £1 in my search for the holy grail of lip balms and this one comes close! Lets start off with the packaging, simple but effective, it comes in a beautiful frosted glass pot which feels nice and weighty. The screw lid is great and nice and secure, no worries about it leaking or coming undone in your bag. It opens up to a little pot of gold, the smell is like sweet lemons and honey and is a lovely colour. Now, even though it is a pot and not a stick, I do not find this an issue unlike other potted lip balms. This is because the balm is set deeper just below the top, so it doesn't get all cacky. The actual balm is at first like a cream but then melts onto your lips and feels lovely and silky. It is not sticky or tacky like lip gloss but simply moisturising, it settles in really quickly and gives an ultra soft sheen to the lips making them look healthy and natural. Even though the balm is yellow this is no problem when it is applied. I have had my little pot for a few months now and use it at least twice a day and it is still quite full, a little goes a long way and it lasts for ages too. Since using this balm, even during the winter, I have not had any dry skin or cracked lips at all!! I will say if you do not like the smell at first, don't be put off because once it is on, you can hardly smell it. All in all a fantastic little product and in my opinion one of Frances' best kept beauty secrets! Thanks to Escentual, you don't have to speak the language of love to have beautifully kissable lips!

I first came across this fragrance in the sample selection. I will admit that when I first tested it, I did not like it, it was so strong and heady, it made my head spin a little, but I could not stop sniffing my wrist. I left it on to settle, I wanted to give it a chance. I am so glad I did, this scent is so complex and goes through so many different little interludes of glorious splendour.
It really is the beauty and the beast combined in one fragrance. The beast comes first before it is transformed into the beauty. It starts off very strong and heady, sweet and musky. You are immediately taken into a world of lust and unrequited love. It is so sensual and sultry, like slipping on a slinky black dress and a mysterious venetian mask. You will feel so feminine and strong, the dominatrix of the upper classes.
After an hour or so, the scent becomes more soft and elegant, still sexy but more understated. Wherever you go, you will leave a trail of stunned men. As time goes on, the scent transforms into the beauty, sweet and musky, elegant and splendid.
This perfume is truly amazing, you will not be disappointed. Do not be put off by the strength of the beast in the beginning, you will be rewarded with beauty.

Etat Libre d'Orange Jasmin et Cigarette Eau de Parfum Spray 50ml
Notes: Jasmine asbolute, tobacco notes, apricot, tonka beans, curcuma, cedar, amber, musc It is the era of Harcourt Studios when Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich magnetised men with a Hollywood look in the eye, smoking a cigarette in a smoky black and white ambiance. Jasmin et Cigarette is also the slightly jasminy smell of a woman's skin when she exposes her freshness to the dark seduction of night. A hazy atmosphere. The reminder of a fantasy, of an indelible trail she leaves on a dress at the break of day or in the intimate memory of the man she loved. It is elegance seen by Gainsbourg, the woman from the 80's who smokes Gitane cigarettes and wears jeans and who, with astounding naturalness, claims her sensuality as a right. Transparency in sophistication, just a trace of jasmine mingled to the so far neglected smell of a cigarette. Jasmin et Cigarette is the twilight zone, the banned, addiction. Nicotine woman or heroine, she is an icon, the woman one longs for.

I sampled this fragrance through the try before you buy sample pack and I was pleasantly surprised! You can smell both the Jasmine and tobacco immediately, the jasmine is stronger than the tobacco scent though. To my amazement, these two scents compliment each other brilliantly, such simple components, but blended together are exquisite. I wore it to the cinema and every few minutes I would be smelling my wrist.
The perfume lasts for ages and like a good wine, just gets better with time! I would highly recommend this product but be careful you don't want everyone smelling as beautiful as yourself!

I ordered this selection and two days later it was here! I will say that not all the samples will be for everyone, but I managed to find about seven or eight which I have fallen in love with! None of these fragrances could be described as mainstream or samey, each one is unique! The samples may sound small, but a little goes a long way, some of them are so potent you can smell them before even opening them!
I was torn between Etat Libre D'Orange and the Serge Lutens sample pack, but I am so glad that I got this one. Some of them may not smell nice to start with but give them a chance, as they develop they just get better!
What I like most is that no one else will be wearing the same perfume as you, which is something very special, I have already ordered a full bottle of my favourite, Charogne, such a complex scent!!
One thing I will say, is don't read the translations before you try the scent, they may just put you off a little!
