Cherrie's Reviews

A handy pocket detangler for thick, coarse and unruly hair. With 5 rings of nylon tufts to stimulate blood flow to the hair roots, the density of the bristles allow conditioning sebum to be more evenly distributed from the roots to the ends of the hair. Regular brushing plays an important part in the condition of your hair. Brushing spreads essential oils along the length of the hair giving it strength, suppleness and producing a healthy sheen. To maintain the quality of the Mason Pearson hairbrush it is not mass produced. Most of the work is carried out by hand, using techniques pioneered and patented by the founder -Mason Pearson- over one hundred years ago and improved over succeeding generations.

I bought this brush for my little girl last year and it's so easy to use. The bristels are really gentle, but detangle the knots very effectively! The design is light and easy to hold. I deliberately bought the white nylon pocket brush because if it gets lost (in our home) it's so easy to spot and find! Overall a lovely brush for a really good price, I'm sure with proper cleaning it will last for many years!

A hand crafted Swiss comb with which to style hair and create partings. The long, thin handle offers ultimate precision, whilst the narrow teeth are better suited for fine/normal hair. Massages the scalp and evenly distributes product and essential sebum through the hair. Mason Pearson Combs Each Mason Pearson comb is handcrafted using traditional techniques. Unlike ordinary combs, each one is made from a single piece of material to provide completely seamless construction. The result is a comb designed to please in every way. First, it pleases your eye with its graceful form and the interplay of tortoiseshell tones -- unique in each and every comb. As you pick it up, it pleases your hand with its polished surface and perfectly rounded edges. Put it to work and the polished teeth glide easily through your hair as your scalp is treated gently by the smoothly rounded ends of each tooth.

The Mason Pearson Tail Comb is great for sectioning my long curly hair either for straightening or creating different hairstyles. Because the tip is also rounded it doesn't hurt my scalp, but simply glides off easy without scratching or hurting it. I can only use the comb's teeth though when my hair is straightend as it does not work on thick curly hair. For that I use other more suitable Mason Pearson Brushes!

I use the scalp toner after washing my hair with the Flaky Itchy Shampoo. It has a subtle eucalyptus fragrance. I have long dry curly hair and find it easy to apply. It's really refreshing for my scalp! It has reduced my flakes considerably and my itchiness is completely gone!

I've bought this shampoo about 4 months ago. I've waited untill now with my review, because it often takes time to see or feel the results with a product. I've always had very flaky and itchy scalp, due to a very dry and sensitive skintype. I tried many shampoos, but none really worked. Based on the many positive reviews I deciced to give Philip Kingsley a try and I was not dissapointed. After only 2 weeks I already noticed the itching was gone and the flakes had become less. Now after 4 months flakes have reduced considerably and in combination with the flaky itchy scalp toner they're really kept under control! If my 250ml bottle runs out I will definitely buy the 1000ml size! The smell is soft and subtle, go on and try it out for yourself! I'm very happy I've found this...
