GUERLAIN Lingerie De Peau Invisible Skin Fusion Foundation
GUERLAIN Lingerie De Peau Invisible Skin Fusion Foundation
Lingerie de Peau is the new innovative fluid foundation from Guerlain that creates a flawless natural-looking complexion. Lingerie de Peau is inspired by sheer, delicate lingerie - augmenting a woman's shape but remaining invisible and comfortable to wear. Guerlain's bio-fusion micro mesh technology creates an invisible second skin that cannot be seen or felt, taking your skin's natural beauty to the next level. The use of natural textile fibres of silk and linen as well as synthetic polymers allows the foundation to effectively smooth and unify the complexion, whilst retaining a natural, nude-skin appearance. Mattifying particles are woven into the fibres of the foundation to aid the flawless and soft result, whilst light reflecting pigments add radiance and vitality. The addition of SPF 20 protection from damaging UV rays makes this magical foundation your skin's new best friend.

I got this foundation after trying close to 10 others from various mid-high end brands. Most of the time, the shades were either too yellow or too pink. Worse they would oxidize. I also was looking for a foundation that wouldn't slip off my face or transfer colour to my hands.
Eventually, I decided upon LdP. The colour range is very good. I chose 03 (and for reference, I have been matched to Chanel's VA in 040, diorskin nude in sand, RBR in almond parfait, burberry in 04). This is probably the best of the lot. It melts in with your skin colour, leaving an excellent medium coverage on. There's no redness left, but neither is it so full coverage that you look unnaturally uniform in colour. Instead, I looked like how I wish my natural skin is. It was also sufficient to disguise some of my dark circles.
LdP stays on very well. I did not find it slipping, and with an light dusting of powder, it lasted all day. I'm normal-dry, and this did not become oily or shiny. It remained dewy looking. It also felt very light on, as though I wasn't wearing anything on my face, which was nice. The texture is very liquid when you put it on and I suppose when it spreads out, it leaves a veil of colour -- hence it didn't feel substantial although it was. I didn't find that it emphasised any dry patches on my face which was good.
The only thing I wasn't all that keen on is the glass bottle. It's opulent and looks great on my dresser. However, it's a bit of a hassle to travel with it.
All in all, recommended if you're looking for something medium coverage, but very natural looking and light in texture.
