A burst of brightness & sophistication
Date:23 August 2015
Age: 40 or older
Gender: Female
Love this cologne! This is great for wearing day or night; an initial citrus burst which settles down into a mix of sandalwood & jasmine undertones with just a hint of lavender. If you like light, bright green perfumes, you'll like this.
If you want something less sandalwood & more citrusy, go for Escale a Ponderichy.

This product is incredibly rich so I only use it occasionally if my skin becomes uncomfortably dry. There is no scent and the texture is like double cream, thick and rich. The instructions say to apply a thick layer but I suspect a thinner layer would be sufficient as a regular treatment. On application I can feel it slowly absorbing into the skin and there is nothing left to tissue off unless I have applied a particularly thick layer. It can leave your skin feeling a bit sticky so I only apply it at night. By morning my skin is velvety soft, comfortable and visibly improved. This product has become an essential part of my skin routine & I would recommend it to anyone with dry or dehydrated and sensitive skin.

Relieves discomfort, redness and tightness. Uses soothing chamomile and purple coneflower. Leaves skin soothed, soft and comfortable. Restores a healthy balance of bacteria and balances skin's flora.   Why it's Escentual: If you have sensitive or very dry skin, you may be tempted to skip the toning step for fear of upsetting your skin - well, not anymore! The Clarins Soothing toner is a calming and relieving liquid lotion that will ease discomfort and tightness to leave your skin soft, soothed and comfortable. Using a clever blend of natural ingredients, this eco-responsible formula is gentle yet effective.   The best way to use it: Apply a few drops of the toner to a cotton pad and sweep over the face. If you're trying to be more eco-responsible, we recommend using a reusable cotton pad.

I am allergic to cotton wool so am limited in the toners I can use. This one has a gel-like consistency and feels soft, cool and refreshing when smoothed on to the skin. The smell, as with all Clarins products, is mildly herbal which always makes me think it's very good for my skin. It does work well, minimising my pores and preparing a good base for my moisturiser. I have been using this for years and for me, nothing else does the job quite like it.

"A top-rated Clarins formulation, the Super Restorative Decollete and Neck Concentrate enhances the quality and texture of the skin from shoulder to shoulder." - Kate, Escentual Beauty Team.   Why You'll Love Clarins Super Restorative Decollete and Neck Concentrate: Targeted decollete and neck cream for those aged 45+. Helps to diminish wrinkles and signs of ageing. Minimises the appearance of age spots. Immediately lifts the surface of the skin. Smooths roughness for a velvety soft finish.   What You Need To Know: A star player in the Super Restorative range for menopausal skin, the Decollete and Neck Concentrate promotes more youthful-looking skin using a blend of natural actives. Super Restorative icon, harungana, is a genus of African flowering plant that helps restore density, reduce sagging, and diminish wrinkles and creases on the decollete. The concentrate also helps to reduce the look of dark spots using Montpellier Rock-rose for a more even, youthful finish whilst oat immediately lifts the surface of the skin and smooths roughness..   Why It's Escentual: You might think you can get away with using your face cream on your neck. Although this might have worked when you were younger, it might not cut it as you start to age. Why? The skin on your neck is naturally thinner, and it usually shows signs of ageing sooner than the skin on your face, so using targeted cream for your neck and decollete is incredibly important. And that's where Clarins' Super Restorative neck moisturiser comes in. The lightweight gel-cream concentrate glides across your neck and decollete to target key signs of ageing for a smoother, more radiant finish.   The Best Way To Use It: Use in the morning and evening on cleansed skin. To get the most out of the formulation, take a small amount of the product between your hands and warm it gently before applying it to your neck with gentle patting motions, working from the jawline downwards. Then, drain away impurities by firmly pressing your palm five times across your neck, all the way down to your collarbone.   The Sustainable Side: Clarins' Decollete and Neck Concentrate is held in a cardboard carton printed on paper sourced from sustainably-managed forests.

I invested in this cream because the the skin on my neck and decollete was itchy, uncomfortable and had a bumpy texture. As always with Clarins products the smell is pleasant and not too strong, it has a lovely light texture and goes a long way.
The relief was immediate, the skin felt more hydrated and much smoother. and after 4 months the neck lines seemed less deep and after a year, a scar on my décolleté is flatter. Although it seems very expensive, 2 tubes have lasted me a year and one jar of facial moisturiser has also lasted a whole year so I haven't spent any more in a year and my skin has benefitted far more. I wouldn't be without it.

Let's start with the look of the bottle; eye catching, expensive looking and a real asset to any bathroom. One pump is enough to wash hands thoroughly, the texture is rich but rinses off easily and leaves hands soft and not dried out. The green tea fragrance is very clean smelling, however it is very strong and lingers for some time afterwards, so if you don't absolutely love green tea I would recommend you select a different fragrance.

"If your skin feels tight and looks dull, I recommend trying out the cult-classic Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil for dehydrated skin." - Kate, Escentual Beauty Team.   Why You'll Love The Clarins Blue Orchid Oil: Daily facial oil treatment for dehydrated complexions. Restores radiance, while toning and revitalising skin. Guards against moisture loss and fine lines for smooth, soft skin. Powered by 100% pure plant extracts.   What You Need To Know: A best-seller, the Clarins Blue Orchid facial oil is a targeted treatment for dehydrated skin. Utilising over 70 years of expertise in aromatherapy, the skin-quenching facial oil uses a perfected blend of essential oils to refresh and restore radiance to complexions crying out for moisture. Made from 100% pure plant extracts, the best-selling Blue Orchid Oil contains extracts of rosewood, patchouli and - you guessed it - blue orchid essential oils to improve tone and revitalise your complexion. Hazelnut oil helps prevent moisture loss and fine lines for smooth, supple and soft skin.   Why It's Escentual: The Clarins Blue Orchid Oil is a fan-favourite facial oil for a reason. But how do you know if it's the best choice for you? If you struggle with a tight skin feeling (especially after cleansing), your complexion is looking a little dull and lacklustre, and you're experiencing a few fine dehydration lines, then this is a good indication that you're struggling with dehydrated skin. And you need the Blue Orchid facial oil in your life. Just a few drops of the lightweight oil are all you need to unlock your skin's natural glowiness once again as the oil floods your skin with a much-needed dose of moisture. But don't be put off by the term 'oil'; it sinks into your skin in a matter of moments, meaning that it doesn't feel heavy or greasy as you go about your day-to-day routine. Plus, the sleek pipette dispenser, fluid oil texture and calming aromatic scent make the whole experience feel like a spa-like treatment - but then we wouldn't expect any less from Clarins.   The Best Way To Use It: Use in the morning and/or evening after cleansing. Apply a small amount to the face and neck whilst your skin is still damp from using a toner, paying special attention to areas of concern. Take care to avoid the eye contour during application. To remove excess, lay a tissue on the face before following up with moisturiser.   The Sustainable Side: The Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil is held in a bottle made from 40% recycled glass. It can also be recycled after use, along with the outer carton, made using cardboard sourced from sustainably-managed forests.

If there is one product I never like to be without it is this. My skin is dehydrated rather than dry, particularly after a cold snap or a beach holiday & I can always rely on this oil to re-hydrate & comfort my skin. At night, measure just 4-6 drops, warm in the palms and smooth into face & neck still damp from toner. The smell is divine, herbal and 'clean' without being medicinal and the oil quickly sinks in leaving skin velvety smooth & completely drenched in moisture. A little goes a long way and a bottle lasts me up to six months, so it is quite economical. You can also add a couple of drops to daytime moisturiser if your skin is really uncomfortable. My skin glows when I use this product and I love it.
