Can be used as leave-in conditioning serum or hair mask. Part of award-winning Elasticizer range. In true Philip Kingsley style, the Elasti-Styler surpasses all expectations. Not only does the fragrance-free formula improve manageability, but it contains the best-selling Elasticizer's technology to strengthen, condition and add elasticity to damaged locks. The perfect addition to every styling routine, the multi-purpose treatment acts as a leave-in serum, hair mask, and finishing product in one. But the styler doesn't just make hair easier to style,it also protects it - the formula gives hair a little slip to reduce damage caused by styling. I bought this to add some styling definition and conditioning to my fine but abundant hair when using a diffuser to create waves. It doesn't really work for this purpose, It's not sticky enough to hold shape. In fact I'd describe it more of a leave-in conditioner than a styling product.
If you want to give condition, softening and protection to hair that gets blow dried straight I think you'd love it, but I'd search for something else if you want to make beach waves.
On the plus side it smells amazing.

After overdoing it a bit with retinoids and overly scented spa brands, I decided to go minimal and give this cream a try. Boy was I surprised!
I always associate French Pharmacy brands with simple functionality. They work, they don't cost a fortune but they can be a bit boring. However, this version of Toleriane cream is utterly lovely. In addition to calming down my antsy rash ridden skin, it has imparted a softness and luminosity that I haven't achieved which much more expensive moisturisers. It feels as if it's had a peel and yet there hasn't been a sniff of exfoliation in weeks! I'm impressed, I didn't think a product aimed at reducing sensitivity could feel so lux.

Ameliorate are famous for their exfoliating body lotion, with good reason, it works.
However I bought the pack of travel size products to try for the first time and this body wash was the product that really made me swoon.
It's gorgeous.
It smells beautiful, containing less of the lactic acid whiff issues of the other products, here the gentle orange blossom and citrus fragrance is really disarming.
It also feels incredibly luxurious, like washing your skin with an oozing syrup, somehow thick and slippy without feeling like one of those short lived soluble shower oils.
Given that the package looks like a dull medical product for problem skin, in use it feels like a surprisingly decadent treat. I will enjoy using this wash enormously. How many times a day is it acceptable to shower..?

"Clarins Double Serum has been the number one anti-ageing serum in the UK since 2013 - in fact, one sells every four seconds worldwide. But, I can't say I'm surprised when it effectively targets five vital skin functions for visibly younger-looking skin." - Kate, Escentual Beauty Team.   Why You'll Love Clarins Double Serum: Multi-award-winning facial serum from Europe's leading skincare brand. Packed with 21 active plant extracts to target the major signs of skin ageing. Leaves skin looking firm, even and radiant by smoothing fine lines and shrinking pores. Features a unique hydrolipidic and biomimetic formula to stimulate skin day after day.   What You Need To Know: The Clarins Double Serum Concentrate is the best in class when it comes to anti-ageing skincare. Wrinkles, firmness, dullness - this best-seller will improve it all by boosting hydration, radiance and collagen while tackling the effects of ageing, stress and pollution. And the proof is in the purchases; one bottle of Double Serum sells every four seconds worldwide. Clarins first released Double Serum in 1985. Since then, the award-winning formula has been reformulated no less than eight times to ensure it contains the most innovative and effective ingredients. Now, the hydrolipidic (water) and biomimetic (oil) double formula contains 21 potent plant extracts. This includes the newest star ingredient, turmeric, which is known for its anti-ageing properties.   Why It's Escentual: To date, Clarins Double Serum is said to have won nearly 400 beauty awards worldwide. But we can't say we're surprised. It's a cult status serum that you just can't get enough of. The thing that really sets Double Serum apart, though, is the fact that Clarins continue to update and innovate this icon to ensure you're getting the best Double Serum possible. This is the latest version - in its eighth phase - which goes to show that Clarins won't settle. They could have stopped at an incredible formula, but they didn't. Double Serum's bottle is just as impressive. Firstly, it's made from 10% recycled material, and secondly, the dual-chamber pump has an adjustable push dial button that dispenses a made-to-measure dose, so you never have to guess how much to use ever again!   The Best Way To Use It: Use Clarins' anti-ageing treatment as the second step in your skincare routine, directly after cleansing. Dispense into the palms of your hand and gently press into the face and neck before following up with a moisturiser. If you have oily skin, or are using the serum in the morning, switch the dial to the smaller droplet. If you have dry skin or are using the serum at night, turn the dial to the larger droplet for a more intensive dose.   The Sustainable Side: The Clarins Double Serum - Complete Age Control Concentrate is held in a recyclable cardboard carton that's sourced from sustainably managed forests. There's no longer a leaflet inside. Instead, Clarins have put all vital information, including how to use Double Serum, on the inside of the box to reduce unnecessary excess waste. The bottle itself is made using 10% recycled materials.   Values: Dermatologically-tested. Non-comedogenic.

I'm on bottle number two of this serum. I have super sensitive skin and this treatment really helps to reduce sensitivity and small pimples in addition to all the other wondrous claims.
Perhaps most importantly, there is an ingredient in here that visibly creates radiance - that daft buzzword that gets tossed about and doesn't really mean anything. In this case the radiant effect is that it leaves my face a little shiny without being at all greasy. When I apply foundation, the slightly shiny cosmetic effect still peeps through - radiant! And very flattering...

To my nose, this is initially a lemon and bergamot fragrance with an air of sweetness that reminds me of quaffing sharp, fizzy sherbet lemons. Just like the sweets, it makes you suck in your cheeks with it’s first shot of acidity. But then, just when you are thinking ‘standard citrus cologne’ you notice something else – an edge of soft earthiness, a damp forest floor vibe, a rich peaty soil. This effect, in just a few minutes, transforms the scent into a magnificent oakmoss. It’s almost like the bones of chypre (bergamot and oakmoss), with very little else apart from a gentle spice. The floral notes listed here are barely discernible. Maybe this is what Mitsouko or Femme would smell like before the addition of their other powerhouse notes?
Highly recommended for a summer scent with a little beloved eccentricity.

Translating as ‘the rain’, Miller Harris describe the heart of this fragrance as ‘wet white flowers’. The ‘wetness’ is increased by an abundance of vetiver, adding a grassy tropical forest vibe, superb for aiding your holiday fantasies in our less exotic British rain!
The most curious aspect of this fume is that it seems to wear ‘backwards’. Vanilla bourbon and vetiver bourbon appear at the top of the composition instead of at the final hours of the drydown where you would expect them to nestle. The vanilla is ‘pure’ vanilla in that is lacks sugary connotations, hoorah for Miller Harris! Instead, it emits a very adult smoky and leathery sensation thanks to the vanilla/vetiver combination. Bergamot and tangerine seep in to add a little citrusy sparkle.
Soon into it’s wear the ‘wet white flower’ heart transforms the smoky beginning into an exotic island floral interpretation. Jasmine and ylang ylang combine in a fresh partnership, ‘lifting’ the experience. The heady quality of jasmine is tempered by the sharpness of ylang (think of ylang as having the same euphoric effect as citrus). Both of these notes play out with subtlety, contributing rather than dominating.
I feel that Miller Harris has a link across it’s perfumes in that a number share a herbal, aromatic and soapy theme. La Pluie has this in buckets, a relief for me as I adore the way that the camphorous lavender is used to offset what could otherwise be too floral, bringing a little herbal integrity (nature at it’s most authentic) to every stage of it’s wear.

Serge Lutens Jeux de Peau Eau de Parfum Spray 50ml
Serge Lutens Jeux de Peau Eau de Parfum Spray 50ml
It's as if the baker took us by the hand. Your childhood is a slope. The farther down you go, the more it comes back to you. You must separate the wheat from the chaff to know who you are. All this to say that the smell of fresh bread from the bakery takes us back. The feel of warm bread against the cheek even more so, evoking a familiar sensation from my childhood. Our Fragrance Expert says: "Jeux de Peau is the most surprising of gourmand fragrances. All at once it smells of hot buttered bread, apricot jam and toffee popcorn.  Despite this massive melange of tasty treats it's not a heavy or cloying fragrance and instead wears like a cosy comfort blanket of optimum deliciousness. Fabulous stuff!"

Mood altering perfume..
We perfumistas know the power of perfume to elevate our mood, feeling our spirits lift as we spritz. Jeux de Peau offers us a sedative effect, a warm hug from a loving friend, a sweet carbohydrate slump!
With gourmand notes of coconut, milk, wheat and licorice, it has a foody gluttony about it, guaranteed the satisfy the greediest of guts. Immortelle (ever lasting flower) imbues a 'burnt sugar' note, alike the crispy layer atop a creme caramel.
Sitting underneath this sweetness, lies possibly the greatest sandalwood note I've ever smelt, adding a hefty base of smooth woody gravity to what would otherwise be simply a spray of cake.
I've hankered after a magnificent sandalwood for many years. Jeux de Peau gives it to me wrapped up in blanket of ultra-comforting gourmand quirkiness.
Highly recommended for those seeking a bottle of effective anti-depressant!

Pour un Homme literally translates as 'for a man'. Not necessarily so!
Bought for my boyfriend, this is frequently pilfered to anoint my own body. On my man, it is an extraordinarily natural veil of vanillic lavender purity, ideal for his moorland wandering soul and quite 'Wuthering Heights' - a scent for Heathcliffe. For those tired of stereotype peppery 'masculinity', they should try this.
On me, the first fresh wave of uplifting lavender wakes and refreshes me. This first euphoric hit is followed by a great wave of vanilla. I tend to find vanilla overly sweet but the tonka bean, soft spice and musky qualities of this scent project a very genuine and (although I've used this word already) 'pure' version of vanilla.
It is as if Caron have managed to bottle genuine lavender fields and sweet hay. Ladies who love the outdoors should most definitely try this beautiful creation.

Although I'm willing to spend high on facial skincare, I was less eager to splash out close to £10 on a lip balm. However, this is really worth it!
This honeyed wonder is a real treat for the lips. Used at night, I wake up with plumped, superbly conditioned lips that hold my day's lipstick perfectly. It's a bit like shape wear knickers for your lips!
Another bonus is it's delicious gourmand flavour, both honey and herbs give a very natural feel to this luxe product, add to this a rich, thick texture and you've got something much more exciting than a lip balm. It's a real anti-aging treat to bring back my long gone teenage pout. Wonderful stuff!

The magician produces his beautiful assistant, glittering and radiant, he draws her close to him, shrouds her in his cloak, then poof! She's gone..
A musk is a little like the assistant, a moment of utter wonder that shows us her beauty and then vanishes into the air.
As with most high quality musk scents, they are subtle and fleeting, in fact some of us cannot detect their grace and presence at all, something scientific to do with large molecules that betray our noses. However, Annick Goutal has offered us a musk of greatness, that although similarly fleeting, gives us a little more molecule to hang on to.
To do this, there is an inclusion of dense woody and resinous notes. Rosewood and Papyrus imbue a deep, smoked wood quality with suggestions of dry incense. Perhaps this is where the 'nomade' element lies, alike campfires in the desert. Labdanum brings an element of softness, a creamy quality to compliment the dry wood smoke. These additional woody notes add a gravitas and staying power to the delicate and elusive musk.
I am eager to try this on a warm day as I feel that in winter it is very much a 'skin scent' that does not project into the air around us. I imagine that with heat and humidity this extraordinary scent will radiate a profoundly sexy aura of musky humanity and a sense of the exoticness of the Orient.
